FITD Director General attended the IADI (International Association of Deposit Insurers) 21° Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting (24- 28 October 2022, Buenos Aires – Argentina).
He also moderated the panel “Knocking on our door: building strong safety-nets in a volatile global economy” with experts from Canada, Argentina, Japan and Ghana.

Today, FITD and the Croatian Deposit Insurance Agency (CDIA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen the collaboration between the two institutions. The signing ceremony was celebrated at FITD and presided over by Mr Alfredo Pallini (FITD Director General) and Ms Marija Hrebac (CDIA CEO).

On 6 and 7 September 2022 the International Association of Deposit Insures has celebrated 20 years since its foundation with various meetings and the international conference on “Enhancing deposit insurance and promoting financial stability around the world: building on the past preparing for future…”.
FITD Director General intervened with a speech in the conference panel on “Deposit Insurance, Financial Stability and IADI: the look ahead”.

The 73rd Hybrid Meeting of the IADI Executive Council took place in Basel, Switzerland – 30 June 2022.        

On 22 June FITD and the Guarantee Fund for Depositors of the Central Bank of San Marino signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen the collaboration between the two institutions which can already praise multi-year relations. The agreement reinforce the cooperation between the two Deposit Guarantee Schemes on various levels: operational, managing, technical and researching.

Today, FITD and the Central Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) of Taiwan signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen the collaboration between the two institutions. The virtual signing ceremony was presided over by Mr Alfredo Pallini (FITD Director General) and Mr William Su (CDIC President).

On 26th May 2022, at the European Forum of Depositor Insurers (EFDI) Annual Meeting, Mr Alfredo Pallini, FITD Director General, has been elected EFDI Board Member.

Today FITD hosted a meeting of the EFDI Banking Union Working Group which follows the EU regulation and its developments towards the completion of the EU Banking Union. It was an hybrid meeting (18 in person and 14 remotely connected – representing 15 European DGSs) and the first international meeting hosted by FITD after 2020 lock down due to pandemic.

It will post its pages on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedln and Youtube, getting its message across in straightforward language, letting depositors know what’s happening in banking and deposit insurance and that Fitd is here to inform and give help if needed.
